Louis Smith

Louis Smith, age 70 years, of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, February 06, 2008 at his home. He was born on May 20, 1937 at Byron, Michigan to the late Frank and Madeline (Vennevy) Smith. As a youth he came to Caro and on January 28, 1961 he married the former Marilyn Arndt in Caro. He spent most of his working life with Michigan Sugar Company, where he retired as a house mechanic. Louis enjoyed gardening and tinkering. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Caro. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Smith; three children, Linda (Randy) Joles of Caro, Peggy (Corey) Colford of Ortonville, Scott (Anya) Smith of Highland, New York; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Marion Smith of Caro, Barbara Craig of Millington and Alice (Jerry) Adams of Deford; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy J. Smith, in 2005. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah
