Louis Stevens of Caro, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Louis was born June 23, 1924 in Detroit, the son of the late Chris and Sophie (Zoloff) Stevens, and was a World War II Marine Corps veteran. He was united in marriage with the former Jennie Bonacci on March 31, 1947 in Detroit, and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2012. The couple moved from Detroit to Caro in 2003 via Las Vegas. He was employed as a truck driver for Central Transport. He was a member of the Catholic faith and a former member of the Caro Knights of Columbus Council #3224. Louis is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Harrah and her husband, Roger, of Caro; and their five children; and Louis' three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Chris Stevens; grandson, Scott Ludeman; and two sisters, Margaret Pridnia and Ann Enor. In keeping with Louis' wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 17100 Van Dyke, Detroit, MI 48234, with military honors afforded by the U.S. Marine Corps.
