Louis Robert "Bob" Wrona

Louis Robert Wrona of Deford, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at his home. Bob was born October 31, 1944 in Hamtramck, the son of the late Louis and Veronica (Niziol) Wrona. He was united in marriage with the former Shirley Ann Szambelan on May 22, 1965 at St. Albertus Catholic Church in Detroit. After more than fifty years of marriage, Shirley preceded him in death on January 27, 2016. Bob had been employed as a meat cutter for many years, retiring from Kroger's. Bob will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered as a "treasure hunter" and for his lighthearted personality. He is survived by his loving children, Robert Wrona of Brighton and Julie Owens and her husband, Jeff, of Deford; beloved grandchildren, Andrea and Jason Mikolon; many dearly loved nieces and nephews; and his longtime dearest friends, Ken and Sophie Megge. In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time
