Louise Johnston

Louise Johnston of Kingston, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016, following a lengthy illness. Louise was born February 17, 1930 in Pontiac, the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Slobodzinski) Dadacki. She was a graduate of Caro High School and attended Saginaw Valley State University. Louise was united in marriage with Gerald Johnston on April 26, 1947, and he survives her. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Lighthouse. Louise was a songwriter, and enjoyed studying the Bible, reading, baseball, and in her early years, she loved to take walks. Louise is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Gerald Johnston of Kingston; her children, Jerry Johnston of Cass City, Ronald & Janet Johnston of Armada, Annette & Les Sproule of Vassar, Brian & Pam Johnston of Oxford, Debra & Mike Kusluski of Clinton Township; grandchildren, Angel, Shane, Nathan, Jessica, Doug and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Raymond and Sidney; siblings, Bernard Dadacki of Cass City, Joan Norton of Owosso; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several of her siblings. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Anchor Cove Outreach Church in Caro with Pastor David Wilczynski officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wilmot. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Anchor Cove Outreach Church.
