Louise M. Ziegler

Louise Ziegler, age 90, of Elkton passed away, Monday April 8, at Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe.
She was born September 5, 1911 at the home of her parents, the late William and Dorothea (Roeber) Licht, in Oliver Twp.
On November 4, 1931 she was united in marriage to Martin Zeigler in Flint. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1955.
Louise was employed with the General Telephone Company as an operator from 1954 to 1962. In 1962, she began working at the dental office of Dr. George Hay, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Berne.
Surviving are one son, Jerry Ziegler of Bad Axe; three daughters, Janet Reinbold of Frankenmuth, Judy (Jerry) Fitch of Concord, NC and Marge (Dan) Parker of Midland; a son-in-law, James Reinbold of Frankenmuth; four grandchildren, Kim (Frank) Kinateder, Jeff (Cheryl) Fitch, Chris Fitch and Julie (Jerry) McEwen; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan Fitch; two sisters, Meta Elftman of Elkton and Leona (Nels) Beck of Saginaw; two brothers, Al (June) Licht of Bad Axe and Werner Licht of Elkton; a brother-in-law, Walt Bendry of Clio and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were a son, Merlin; three sisters, Hilda Nieschulz, Delores Bendry and Lydia Licht; two brothers Ervin Licht and Barney Licht.
Funeral services will be conducted, 11:00 AM Friday, April 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Berne. Rev. James A. Gorsegner, pastor will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 until 9 PM, Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton.
Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
