Lowell R. Morgan age 84,of Pinnebog went home to his Lord Saturday afternoon, June 9 while at Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe.

He was born May 5, 1928 at the Bad Axe Hubbard Hospital to the late Harold and Beulah (Lewis) Morgan.
Lowell grew up in the Pinnebog area and graduated from Elkton High School in 1946. After high school he worked on the family farm until joining the Army in 1951, serving in Korea. When he returned home he continued helping his father farm for a while and also started his own business, hauling milk.

On May 18, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ruth M. Young at the Elkton Missionary Church, and they made their home near Pinnebog.
Lowell hauled milk for 45 years in cans and bulk. While retired, he worked part time at Michigan Sugar Company, running a beet piler until he turned 80.
He and Ruth enjoyed traveling and visiting relatives. Ruth preceded him in death February 23, 2000.
Lowell was a devout christian and attended Victory in Christ Church, Bad Axe. He was a genealogy buff, and enjoyed tracing family history with his sister. Lowell was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and was a caring person taking extra time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Cheryl Morgan and Dave Morgan both of Pinnebog; four grandchildren, Myranda, Austen, Alex and Mariana; his brother, Donald (Barbara) Morgan of Racine, WS; his sister, Ellen (Ned) Hillborn of Port Austin; two brothers in law, Norman Leitch of Pinnebog and Milton Young of Elkton, a sister-in-law, Joyce Young of Trenton and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Dorothy Leitch.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 13, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. Stewart Justin, pastor of Victory in Christ Church will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Elkton VFW, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday and after 10 AM Wednesday.
Memorials may be directed to the Victory in Christ Church or the donor’s choice.
