Lucille Holden

Lucille Pauline Holden, age 97, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2006 in Bradenton, Florida, following a lingering illness. Lucille was born March 5, 1909 in Sebewaing, the daughter of the late Adolph Ida (Gamble) Millerwise. She was married to Burnell S. Holden on October 1, 1927 in Saginaw. Lucille and Burnell came to Caro at that time where they owned and operated the Caro Floral Company and Flower Shop for more than 45 years. Burnell preceded Lucille in death on July 31, 1985. Lucille loved designing floral arrangements and was a longtime member of the Caro Garden Club and the former Fuddy-Duddy Club of Caro. Lucille is survived by one daughter, one son and their spouses, Virginia Donald Wagner of Bradenton, FL and Gerald Donna Holden of Fenton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses, Deborah Rev. Dr. Kirk Ryckman of Omaha, NE, Pamela Michael Gibson of Saginaw, Kim Putnam of Davison, Susan Brad Houlihan of Saginaw, Patricia Dr. Roy Cohen of New Rochelle, NY, Mary Chris Holden of Chicago, IL, and David Holden of San Francisco, CA; nine great-grandchildren and their spouses, Kathy Forrest Hoyette of Davison, John Gibson of Saginaw, Kara Lt. J.G. Ryan Chappell of Hawaii, Lauren Ryckman of Omaha, NE, Brent Houlihan of Naples, FL, Andrew Putnam and Jenny Putnam of Davison, Maya Cohen and Noah Cohen of New Rochelle, NY; four great-great-grandchildren, Renae, Erica, Garrett, and Benjamin Goyette of Davison and many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
