Lucy Tank

Lucy Tank of Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Vassar and Caro, age 93, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at her daughter's home. She was born November 25, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Frank and Elvira (Nerino) Mignone. Lucy was united in marriage with Norman Tank on June 24, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1994. While living in Brooklyn she worked in a clothing factory sewing on mink, and also was employed at the Bazooka Gum Factory. Before moving to Caro, she was an active farm wife. Lucy was a great wife, mother, homemaker, and gardener, and enjoyed going to the Casino. While in Michigan, she belonged to St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro, and was a member of the Polish American Club. Lucy is survived by four children and their spouses, Norma & Bob Berry of Caro, Dennis & Jane Tank of Brooksville, Florida, Ann (Tank Hess) & Charles Hosey of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Denise M. Tank-Kill of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Alyse Berry of San Francisco, California, Amber Diana Sundara of Bay City, Dennis L Tank of Caro, Jason D. Tank of Inverness, Florida, Justin C. Tank of Springhill, Florida, Aaron & Sara Hess of Montrose, Leigh Hess-Brown of Panama City Beach, Florida, Elizabeth (Hess) and Lenny Huyghe of Millington, Joshua & Merissa Prahin, Megan Prahin-Cordova of Louisville, Kentucky, Mindy Prahin of Louisville, Kentucky, and Scott Hosey of Las Vegas, Nevada; great-grandchildren, Lance Florence, Zora Trabalka, Jacob Tank, Alex Tank, Alyssa Tank, Taylor Tank, Kaitlyn Brown, Lauren Brown, Devan Hess, Nicholas Hess, Jayda Hess, Brandon Huyghe, Tabatha Hosey, Ashton Prahin, Benjamin Prahin, and Walker Prahin; two brothers, Al and Frank Mignone, of Bradenton, Florida; and one brother-in-law, John Maestri. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded in death by three sisters and their spouses, Rose & Frank Leonti, Sue & Al Carneri, Theresa Maestri; two brothers and their spouses, Anthony & Mildred Mignone, Joseph & Ada Mignone; and sister-in-law, Nina Mignone. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Site in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service at 10:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
