Luella Green

Luella Green of Caro, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Fisher Senior Care & Rehab Center in Mayville. Luella was born September 29, 1930 in Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur and Theresa (Lample) Rosenkranz. She was united in marriage with Kenneth John Green on October 3, 1953, and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2010. Luella was a homemaker who enjoyed bingo, reading and crafts. She was kindly known as the "Sunshine Lady" while at Fisher's where she enjoyed being a greeter and bolstering the spirits of the other residents at the facility. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Eugene & Laura Green of Caro, Deborah & Roger Hack of Edwardsville, Illinois; five grandsons and their spouses, Patrick & Susan Hack of Maryville, Illinois, Joshua & Magdelena Hack of Carbondale, Illinois, Evin & Kayla Green of Ypsilanti, Aarin & Cyndi Green of Caro, Ean & Deanna Green of Elkton; ten great-grandchildren, Andraya, Jayden, Raven, Henry, Titus, Melody, Boaz, Aiden, Chloe and Eli. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Deford Community Church with Luella's grandson, Rev. Ean Green, officiating. Burial will be later at East Dayton Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Luella Green Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Eugene Green, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
