Luella Kratz

Luella Pearl Kratz, age 74, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper in Saginaw. She was born January 11, 1936 in New Boston, Michigan, the daughter of the late Dolor & Elsie (Wilkening) Primeau. Luella was united in marriage with Dean E. Kratz on November 13, 1954 in Caro and has lived here since. During her time in Caro, she owned and operated an adult foster care home for forty-three years, retiring four years ago. Luella was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro and enjoyed having parties, working in her garden, knitting, crocheting and other crafting projects. Surviving is her loving husband of fifty-five years, Dean E. Kratz of Caro; two sons and their wives, Dean & Debbie Kratz, Terry & Kristine Kratz, all of Caro; two grandchildren, Miscena Luella Kratz, Tishena Lee Kratz, both of Caro; two brothers, two sisters and their spouses, William & Karen Primeau of Oscoda, Edward & Nancy Primeau of St. Clair, Lorraine Bovee of Shelby Township, LaVirne & Gene Bender of Battle Creek, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Luella was preceded in death by two brothers, Dolor and John Primeau; and one sister, Marion Kratz.
