Lyndon G. Sims, 86, of Sand Point, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at his home while under hospice care.
Lyndon was born December 18, 1928 in Detroit to the late Wilfred and Edna (Middleton) Sims. He served in the US Army from 1947-1948. He married Jacqueline Sutton on January 20, 1951 at St. Martin Episcopal Church, Detroit. He retired as a foreman from BASF in Detroit and moved from Redford Twp to Sand Point in 1992. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline; daughter Corrine (Norm) Smith of Sand Point; grandchildren Kelly (Phil), Erin (Matt) and Ryan (Katie); great-grandchildren Brad, Elliana, Kiera and Riley. He was preceded in death by his daughter Denise.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 9th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. David Hudspeth of St. Matthew Anglican Church, Lapeer officiating. Burial will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
