Mabel Iseler

Mrs. Mabel Iseler, age 93 years, of Caro, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the home of her family in Arizona. The former Mabel Kolberg was born on January 3, 1914 in Huron County and married Herbert Iseler on February 13, 1932. He preceded her in death on August 22, 1991, after 59 years of marriage. She was formerly employed as a cook at the Fairgrove High School cafeteria for many years, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. For the past few years she enjoyed spending the winter months with her family in Arizona. She is survived by one son and one daughter, Ron (Pamela) Iseler of Arizona and Marilyn Collon of Caro and Arizona; one granddaughter, Denise (Robert) Dunham of Caro; five great grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Dunham of Caro, Adam (Sabrina) Dunham of Caro, Ashley, Brandi and Lacey Steffek of Texas; one great-great-grandson, Connor Dunham of Caro; a grandson-in-law, Tim Steffek of Texas; her step-grandchildren, Trevor Schniers of Greenville, Tennessee, Troy (Karen) Schniers of Lansing, Sue (Fred) Trimm of South Carolina and Sandra Armbruster of Lansing; three step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Herb, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Steffek; a son-in-law, Ben Collon; and five sisters and five brothers. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cameron Steele of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the charity of the donors choice.
