Mable B. Gremel

Mable B. Gremel, age 88 of Sebewaing, Mi went home to her Lord on August 3, 2011. Mable was born on, February 13, 1923 to Alfred and Martha Schairer in Sebewaing, MI. She married John Bachman in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1953. She married Harold Gremel, Sr. in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Mable was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church being active in Ladies Aid and Bible Class. She worked at Balks Bakery for many years as well as being a homemaker. She loved to bake and cook, share meals and play cards with friends. She especially loved the times she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Roger (Arlene) Bachman and Joyce (Tom) Jahr. Also four grandchildren, John Bachman, Mike (Nadine) Bachman, Krista (Steve) Hinderer, and Scott Jahr. Four great grandchildren, Brenner & Caeley Bachman, and Macy & Max Hinderer.

Also surviving are step children, Harold (Marilyn) Gremel, Roger (Dorothy) Gremel, Richard (Connie) Gremel, Denis (Gail) Gremel, June Schram, Ruby (John) Nordrum, Diana (Ken) Weiss and Joyce (David) Bright and families. One brother, Roy (Beverly) Schairer, one sister, Dorothy Prich, one sister-in-law, May Bachman and many nieces and nephews.

Mable was preceded in death by a son Leroy Bachman, a step-son Gary Gremel, one brother, Victor Schairer, two sisters, Mildred Armbruster and Helen Ruse, step daughter-in-law, Lillian Gremel and step son-in-law, Jack Schram.

Visitation Friday, August 5, 2011 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-8 P.M. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 11 A.M. Additional visitation will be from 10 A.M. until time of service.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
