Madeline V. Marker of Caro, age 96, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Madeline was born January 26, 1924 in Caro, the daughter of the late John & Alice (Cottrell) Jaques. She grew up in this area and graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1942. She was united in marriage with Michael Marker on November 25, 1943, and he preceded her in death in 2003. Madeline worked for many years at A&P Grocery and a local dime store. She was a member of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro, the Caro Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and lovingly made blue jean quilts for countless family members. Madeline could make practically anything grow and loved tending to her flower garden. Left to cherish her memory are four children and their spouses, Lynn & Janet Marker of Marlette, Mary Jagodzinski of Caro, Robert & Sybil Marker of Southgate, Rochelle & Greg Miller of Bay City; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Denise & Rusty Woodward, Nichole Nicol, Vicki & Jared Ott, Kristen & Josh Eldred, Jackie Marker, Ethan Marker, Brandon & Chelsea Alisoglu, Evan Miller; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Madeline was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Marker; and her remaining eight siblings. Private family services have been planned with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro.
