Madeline M. Shannon

Madeline M. Shannon, age 89, of Vassar, formerly of Lady Lake, Florida and Fairgrove, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Vassar Comfort Care Assisted Living in Vassar, where she was loved and greatly cared for the past four years. Madeline was born March 5, 1932 in Saginaw to the late George and Ottilia (Kern) Morey. She was a graduate of Fairgrove High School and went on to work as a secretary for Eaton Foundry in Vassar. Madeline was united in marriage with Herbert H. Shannon on September 5, 1970 in Fairgrove. While living in Fairgrove, Madeline opened "Mad's Ceramics," where she taught her artistic talents to many. After retirement, they moved to Lady Lake, FL. She enjoyed animals, crafts, and gardening. She leaves behind her step-son, David Shannon and his wife, Dee, of Caro; grandchildren, Christopher (Brittnie) Shannon of Munger, Jessica (Ricky) Enos of Caro; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Enos, and baby Shannon due in February. Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Shannon; and brother, Bernard Morey. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. She will be laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove at a later date.
