Madeline Laura Verschoore

Madeline Laura Verschoore, age 94, of Sebewaing, passed away at her home in Medallion Village AFC, in Sebewaing.

Madeline was born March 20, 1925, in Unionville, to Adiel and Bertha (VanHove) Vermeersch. She married Joseph Verschoore on February 6, 1943 in Unionville. He preceded her in death in 1994. She and Joe farmed all their lives. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, sewing, gardening, dancing, and working in her flowers. She is a member at Our Lady Consolata Catholic Church, was past president of the Altar Society, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sebewaing and the choir for 40 years.

Madeline is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings: Margaret Vermeersch, Julia Van Bevern, Clara Singer, Frank, Cyriel and Dick Vermeersch.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Our Lady Consolata Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. A luncheon will follow.

She will be buried at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Unionville.
