Mandi Lynn Martin

Mandi Lynn Martin of Caro, age 33, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Mandi was a brave, strong, proud, and deeply thoughtful soul who cared for and loved everyone she met. She now joins her beloved twin sister, Molli Martin, and her cherished mother, Lori Martin, reunited together in Heaven.

Mandi was born on April 1, 1992, in Bay City, alongside her twin sister Molli. She was raised in Shields and attended Swan Valley Schools. From the beginning, family was the center of Mandi’s world, and she especially loved reminiscing about childhood adventures shared with her sisters.

Mandi recently found her soulmate in Melissa Chavez, who stood by her side through sickness and health with unwavering love and devotion. Together they made their home in Highland, where they dreamed of future adventures. Mandi loved planning extravagant meals (ideas that Melissa lovingly brought to life) and cherished the comfort of everyday moments spent together.

Mandi delighted in FaceTiming with her big sissy Jen, and her dog nephew, Keelow. She began each day with positive affirmations alongside her most handsome kitty, Finnies (Fin), while her other beloved cat, Karin, looked on. Known for her wit, strength, bravery, and beautifully eccentric spirit, Mandi embraced life fully through its joys, challenges, love, and excitement.

Mandi lived her life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mandi, Molli, and their mother Lori are now together again, resting eternally in Heaven, watching over their beautiful family and the cherished memories they leave behind.

Mandi will be forever missed by her big sissy, Jen Vaughan of Saginaw; her son, Terrin Hickmott; her niece and nephew, Marci Lorin and Levi Skye Murillo, who loved their "Bubbi" "Bubbs" very much; her girlfriend and the love of her life, Melissa Chavez; uncles, Jeff (Laura) Nowlen, Dennis (Brenda) Nowlen, and Michael Nowlen; aunts, Terri (Doug) Collier and Carol (Taft) Taylor; and several cousins, too many to individually mention. Mandi had so, so many beloved friends and loved ones who held a special place in her life, including "Nana" Peggy (Thelma) Martin, Cathy (Aunt "Wuffie") Cogo, Sal Ratti, Chrissie Krawczyk, Mark Timko, Mollilyn Dingman, Morgan Compton Bodrie, and countless others who touched her life in a positive way. Mandi loved them all, and they loved her right back.

In addition to her mother and sister, Mandi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Edith (Tipper) Nowlen; and uncles, Dale, Jim, Tim, and Lewis Nowlen.

A Celebration of Mandi’s Life is being planned for June 2026. Details will be posted as the information becomes available. Those planning an expression of sympathy are invited to consider a contribution toward Mandi's final expenses, which may be made through the donation button on this page.
