Margaret A. Fleming age 85, of Pinnebog died Monday morning, November 17, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.
She was born March 25, 1923, Gladstone to the late Earl and Lillian (Wahl) Alm. She moved to the Detroit area after high school to work during the war. While there she met George Y. Fleming and were married in 1947. George preceded her in death June 17, 1967.
Margaret lived in Pinnebog all her married life. After raising her family her began working at North Huron School as a cook and later became a paraprofessional retiring with over 14 years of service.
She was a member of the Chandler Presbyterian Church and Ladies Guild, and a past member of the Pinnebog Women's Club. Margaret enjoyed playing cards and loved cooking for her family and friends, no one left her home without eating something first.
Surviving are three children, Betty (Jim) Biggert of Columbiaville, George Fleming of Burton and Rick (Lauren) Fleming of Filion; two grandchildren, David Biggert and Amanda Fleming and a great grandson, Zachery Biggert.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Frederick Alm who was killed during WWII.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, November 20, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. Ronald Grimes, pastor of Chandler Presbyterian Church will officiate with burial in Colfax Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday and after 10 AM Thursday.
Memorials may be given to the Chandler Presbyterian Church.
