Margaret "Maggie" Langlois

Margaret "Maggie" Langlois of Caro, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home. Maggie was born January 26, 1928 in Caro, the daughter of the late Carl and Myrtle (Rocheleau) Sieland. She was united in marriage with Paul Langlois on September 11, 1948 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. The couple cherished nearly sixty-nine years of marriage prior to Paul's death on April 8, 2017. Maggie was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who cherished time spent with family. She was a member of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro and the church choir for more than thirty years. Naturally artistic and extremely creative, Maggie enjoyed sewing, quilting, and painting in acrylic and watercolor. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jane Cox and her husband, David, of Clinton Township, Susan Langlois of Caro; grandchildren and their spouses, Paul & Jennifer Cox of Grosse Pointe Shores, Christopher & Sarah Rose Cox of Grosse Pointe Woods; four great-grandchildren, Maggie, Charlie, Oliver, and Elliott Cox; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Maggie was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Swartzendruber; and two brothers, Chuck Sieland and Richard J. Sieland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at a later time at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro.
