Margaret “Peggie” Hall Leipprandt, 88, of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Pigeon.
Peggie was born January 19, 1937 in Whigham, Georgia to the late Cyril and Louise (Womble) Hall. She married Ted Leipprandt on December 14, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2025.
Peggie was always very involved with her children, her church and her community. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader when her children were young and taught Sunday School for 50 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and held many leadership positions there. She volunteered as a Parent Aide for the Department of Social Services, board member of the Huron Mental Health Department, the Huron Transit Authority and the Pigeon Food Pantry. She served as a camp counselor for many Methodist church camps. She was very active in the Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary.
She and her husband began Riverside Nursery, then after that, Leipprandt Orchards and Gifts. The entire family was involved in these endeavors.
Peggie is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Kimberly) of Pigeon, Joel (Melanie) of Reese, James (Kimberley) of Greer, South Carolina; daughter Jill (Scott) Lindenberg of Bellaire; 15 grandchildren: Joy (Stephan), Joel Jr. (Kelly), E. Troy (Caroline), Tyler (Rachel), Spencer (Jenna), Parker (Rachel), Alicia, Marshall (Christy), Lauren, Dajnae, Dawson, Zachary, Diamond, Rylan, and Destiny; 11 great-grandchildren: Jude, Rhiana, Calvin, Selah, Evan, Roman, Cooper, Violet, Locklin, Lily, and Cate; brother Charles (Katherine) Hall; and sister-in-law Pam Hall. Peggie was preceded in death by her husband Ted of 68 years, parents, sister Mildred Pakalnis, and brothers Cyril and James Hall.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday, April 16th at Salem Church with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Burial will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7pm Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at church.
