Margaret Veen

Margaret Veen, age 95 years, of Bad Axe, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. She was born on September 25, 1910, in Port Huron. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe, the 8 and 40 Club of Port Huron and the American Legion Post #449 Ladies Auxiliary in Marysville. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family. Margaret is survived by her three step-daughters, Lillian (Hal) Creal of Sturgis, Margaret Knight of Ypsilanti and Donna Hewitt of Caro; fifteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and even a couple great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Nyeste of Lexington; and one brother, Steve (Shirley) Nyeste of Port Huron. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J.; one son, Richard F. Hendrick Jr.; one granddaughter, Holly Dinsmore; and two sisters and three brothers. A graveside memorial service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron on Saturday, June 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
