Margaretha Bodeis

Margaretha Bodeis, age 91, of Mayville, died on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at her residence. She was born on October 29, 1917 in Unionville to the late John and Anna (Meske) Roeser and was a lifelong Thumb resident. The former Margaretha A. Roeser was united in marriage to the late Ralph R. Bodeis on December 7, 1940 in Sebewaing. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1999. Mrs. Bodeis was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. For some time she worked out of the house at the Day Fox Factory in Mayville. Margaretha truly enjoyed people and was involved with 4-H and the St. Paul Lutheran Ladies Aide. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Ann (Gary) Cryderman of Mayville, Ruth Gusko of Caro, Jane (Gary) Touchette of Muskegon and Alan (Alane) Bodeis of Mayville; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great- and great-great- nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Roeser and Albert Roeser; and one nephew, Ronald Roeser. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Balogh officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville or the Mayville Area Ambulance.
