Marguerite Arsenault

Marie Alice Marguerite Arsenault, 94, formerly of Bay Port, died Monday, July 23, 2018 in St. Clair Shores.

Marguerite was born July 16, 1924 in Sherbrooke, Quebec to the late Thomas and Rose (Porlier) Cochrane.  She married Bruno Arsenault December 21, 1945 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sherbrooke; he preceded her in death July 8, 2005.

They moved to Detroit in 1946 and then to Bay Port in 1980.  She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary and Bay Port Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her children Suzanne (Ronald) Novack of Novi, Marc (Li-Chu Lu) of Livonia, Denise (Thomas) Lisowski of Harrison Twp, Maurice “Rocket” Richard (Gerrie) of Monroe, Thomas (Dina) of Dearborn, and David of Bay Port; daughter-in-law Mona Christine of Charlotte, NC ; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Margaret Ann and son Roger.

A funeral mass will be 10:00am Wednesday, August 1 ^st at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon with Fr. Robert Pare presiding.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-7 Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton and one hour prior to mass on Wednesday in church.
