Margie Miller of Akron, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Satchell's Adult Foster Care Home in Caro. Margie was born June 9, 1932 in Clare, the daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Hawley) White. She was a graduate of Clare High School and attended Freed-Hardeman College. Margie was united in marriage on August 26, 1957 with Richard Miller at the Church of Christ in Shepard. In addition to being employed at the State Savings bank in Clare, she worked at Central Michigan University, Harding University and a credit union until she devoted the remainder of her life to being a wife, mother, and homemaker. Margie supported her husband's ministry at both the Akron and Caro Churches of Christ and worked with the World Bible School. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, canning, singing, gardening and being with her grandchildren as well as her membership in the Akron Sewing Club. Margie is survived by her husband, Richard; five children and their spouses, David & Tammy Miller of Clare, Rhonda & Mark Briggs of York, Nebraska, John Miller & Beth Wade of Rockville, Maryland, Shari & Jason Hulburt of Cass City, and Aaron Miller of Akron; twelve grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Mabrey of Nashville, Tennessee and Glenna Lewis of Coleman; one brother and his wife, Edward & Gayle White of Clare; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter and brother-in-law, Vernell Lewis. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Lyle Clarke of Cass City Church of Christ officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare.
