Marie L. Moody of Caro, age 80, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Marie was born August 28, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Earl J. and Aline Marie (Millette) Clark and was a 1961 graduate of St. Michael’s in Flint. Marie was united in marriage with Stanley Robert “Bob” Moody on March 27, 1965 in Flint. Sadly, Bob preceded her in death on April 12, 2020, following fifty-five years of marriage. Marie loved having family around. She enjoyed painting, sewing, trips to the casino, and singing on an old karaoke app. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews. Marie was the rock for all the family and will be missed tremendously.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Annette Debeaussaert and Jennifer McGuire; daughter-in-law, Kathy Moody; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Velva Winkel; and brother, Earl Clark and his wife, Connie. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by one son, Craig; sister, Marlene Clark; and brother, Willis.
In keeping with Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
