Marie Woechan

Marie Woechan, age 85, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro, following a lingering illness. Marie was born September 5, 1922 in St. Francis, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Walter Edward & Della (Harmon) Dellinger. She was united in marriage to Frank J. Woechan on August 16, 1947 in St. Francis, Arkansas. Frank preceded her in death on March 21, 2004. Marie was a member of the Caro branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed hosting and entertaining guests at dinner parties, sewing, gardening and reading. Surviving are three children, Dianna Woechan of Kissimmee, Florida, Frank Woechan and his wife Carol Carter, of Caro, Kenneth Woechan and his wife Sharon, of Huntsville, Alabama; son-in-law, Larry Stavinsky of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Stavinsky) Sills, her husband and daughter, of New York City, New York, Kimberly Woechan living in Missouri, Jamie Woechan and two children, of Kissimmee, Florida, Kenneth Woechan, Jr., his wife and two children, of Searcy, Arkansas, Ginger Woechan of Mobile, Alabama and Candice (Woechan) Ward and her husband, of Mobile, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Walter Dellinger and his wife, Wilma, of Troy, Michigan; two cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Stavinsky in 2007 and three sisters.
