Marilyn H. Campbell, age 85, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Fox Run Retirement Community in Novi, following a lingering illness. She was born December 21, 1925 in Carbondale, Illinois, the daughter of the late George E. & Estelle (Quigley) Harris, and moved to Heron, Illinois with her parents as a young girl. Following graduation from Heron High School, Marilyn moved to Flint where she was employed at Citizens Bank for over twenty years. Marilyn was united in marriage with F. Douglas Campbell on February 22, 1963, moving to Caro in 1965 from Birmingham. While in Caro, Marilyn and Doug were very active at the First Presbyterian Church and continued their involvement with the Ann Arbor First Presbyterian Church when they moved to Ann Arbor in 1992. Douglas, Marilyns beloved husband of over thirty-nine years, preceded her in death on January 26, 2003. Marilyn had many interests that included volunteering at the school for the deaf while living in Flint, searching for wildflowers in the woods and traveling with her husband. Marilyn is survived by one daughter and her husband, Kay & David Maxwell of Northville; two grandsons, Cameron & Alexander Maxwell; four step-children and their spouses, Scott & Linda Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Amy & Kevin Anderson of Rockford, Illinois, Chad & Becca Campbell of San Diego, California, Terri Kemp of Marblehead, Massachusetts; six step-grandchildren, Ian, Blaine and Caitlin Campbell, Drew Anderson, Lily and Grace Campbell; one sister, Kay Halfhill of Lompoc, California; one brother, William Harris of Seattle, Washington; and many special nieces and nephews.
