Marilyn Margaret Deshano

Marilyn M. DeShano, 69, of Caseville died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Lakeview Extended Care in Harbor Beach.

Marilyn was born September 8, 1945 in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Walter and Margaret (Weinhold) Hunt. She grew up in Dearborn and graduated from Edsel Ford High School in 1964. She lived in Port Austin from 1977 until moving to Caseville in 1998.

She was an active member of the community, her memberships included the Caseville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women (officer), Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary, Safe Place Auxiliary, Caseville Eagles Auxiliary, Port Austin Reef Light Association, and the Anne Frisby Fitzhugh/Saginaw Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (officer). When not volunteering her time, she loved to travel and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her son Nicholas (Renee) of Harbor Beach; grandson Ari Nicholas; sister Phyllis Hunt of Dearborn Heights; and the father of her son Bruce DeShano of Caseville.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Friday, July 3rd at the Caseville United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-7pm Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. She will lie in-state one hour prior to the service in church on Friday.
