With her family in attendance, Marilyn Ezakovich, age 65 years, of Caro, died on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at her residence under the care of Heartland Hospice. The former Marilyn Ferguson was born on September 22, 1941 in Sterling Township of Oakland County to Eugene and Sarah (Fruit) Ferguson. Marilyn Ferguson married Franklin Ezakovich, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 1983. In addition to being a mother and homemaker, Judy was employed as an administrator for fourteen years at Hills and Dales General Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for a time. Judy was treasurer for both “Tops of Caro” and Tuscola County ARC, as well as a member of “People First”. For a time she worked for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Caro. She is survived by three sons and a daughter, James Ezakovich of Caro, Joseph (Danielle) Ezakovich of Piedmont, South Carolina, William Ezakovich of Caro and Judy (Gregory) Eggert of Vassar; three grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence and Shirley. Funeral Liturgy will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Weis of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will be at North Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Marilyn Judith Ezakovich Trust.
