Marilyn Yvonne Haag

Marilyn Yvonne (Woods) Haag, age 81, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Cass City after a battle with cancer.

Marilyn was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on March 26, 1942, to the late Floyd and Edna (Leonard) Woods. She graduated from Owendale High School in 1960. She then married Norbert Haag on January 7, 1961, celebrating 62 years together. She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, sewing for 4-H, word find books, bowling, going up north to their cabin, vacationing and being youth group counselors.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Norbert; 3 daughters: Wendy (Paul) James of Warren, Tracy Tessens of Pickney and Penny (Mark) Lutz of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Brandon (Jenni) Sobieray, Rachel (Sam) Hanner, Erin (fiancé Tanner) Tessens, Tiffany (Ethan) Androl and Nicolas Lutz; great grandchildren: Mahailey, Ella, Elijah, Lucas and Forrest; sisters: Joan Merchant, Pat (Ralph) Zinnecker, Wanda Dubs, Linda Woods; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Pilon; brother, Paul Woods; sister-in-law, Regina Woods and brother-in-law, Jim Merchant.

Visitation is Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service is Monday, August 21, 2023, at St. John's Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Officiating is Pastor Thom Garrison and organist Jeanette Bach. Burial will be private at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School (CTK), St. John's Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh), Lutheran Hour Ministries or the charity of your choice.
