Marion Ruth (Lockwood) Brack, age 88 years, of Caro, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. She was born on June 3, 1918 in Caro. Marions family includes her loving husband, William Reid Brack, 92, of Masonic Pathways. They were married 52 years and resided in Caro. Her daughters, Jean Brack Hudson (Keith) of Greenville and Cheryl Brack Mulford (Tracy) of Grand Rapids were also Marions life passion and joy. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Asenath (Fish) Lockwood, and her siblings, Melzer Lockwood (Mildred), Iva ONeil (Lee), Maleta Plain Caister (Oscar/Wilfred) and Evelyn Lumley (Victor). Despite the wide age spread between them, Marions siblings adored their little sister. Marion also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. A graduate of Caro High School in 1937, Marion worked for the Tuscola County Farm office. After her marriage to Reid in 1954, she became a full time homemaker and mother. The piano was another passion in Marions life. She gave piano lessons to numerous children throughout her lifetime. In addition, she blessed the Christian Science Church of Caro as pianist and accompanist for many years. Marion was an active member in the Caro United Methodist Church and its Sociables group as well as womens church circles. She was a lifetime member of the Caro Historical Society and Kedron Chapter #33, Order of the Eastern Star. Marion was cared for and supported by the wonderfully compassionate staff of Masonic Pathways during the past three years. The funeral service will be held at the Caro United Methodist Church on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Caro United Methodist Church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Masonic Pathways, Caro United Methodist Church, Alzheimers Association or Hospice of Michigan.
