Marion L. Dast, age 92 of Pigeon, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Timber Ridge in East Lansing.
She was born in Plymouth on March 28, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Marjorie (Taylor) Kleinschmidt. She was a 1939 graduate of Plymouth High School.
Marion was united in marriage to Richard L. Dast of Bay Port, in May 1946 after his return from military service during WWII.
She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Pigeon (Berne). She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her many interests were in the arts, music, reading, crafts and travel.
Marion is survived by a son, Philip (Karen) Dast of Sebewaing; daughters, Patricia Picklo of Williamston and Suzanne (George) Busse of Mount Prospect, Ilinois; grandchildren: Kevin (Amanda) Picklo, Tricia (Steven) Johnson, Lora (Kenneth) Merley, Graham Dast, Bryan Dast, Rochelle Taves, and Kendrick Taves; step grandchildren, Brent, Emily, and Andrew Busse; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Dast of Pigeon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Dast; her parents, Walter and Marjorie Kleinschmidt; and her brothers, Kenneth and Marvin Kleinschmidt.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. James A. Gorsegner, officiating pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials for Marion L. Dast may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.

AND AT ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH:
Saturday, March 15 10:00 a.m. until the service time
