Marion A. Kain
Marion A. Kain, age 92, of Bay Port, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at Courtney Manor Nursing Home in Bad Axe. She was born in Fairhaven Twp. on January 31, 1921 to the late Edward and Lily (Petty) Deming. On August 9, 1941 she married Donald L. Kain, Sr. in Bay Port, MI. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1995. She enjoyed working puzzles and reading.
Marion is survived by her children: Edna (John) Kotenko of Bay Port, Donald (Beverly) Kain, Jr. of Sebewaing, Sandra (Harlon) Neumann of Sebewaing, and William (Susan) Kain of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Christine (Steve) McDowell, Susan (Tom) Harmon, John (Christine) Kotenko, Donald Kain, III, Brian (Theresa) Kain, Matt (Tara) Kain, Barbara (Derrick) Rasch, Harlon (Tammy) Neumann, James (Julie) Neumann, Jason (Michelle) Kain, Lisa (Chris) Hausbeck, and Eric (Tonya) Kain; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 6 siblings: Nellie Bowman, Mabel Pitcher, Carrie Avery, Vivian Higgins, Jessie Kuhl and Melvin "Cronch" Deming.
Visitation will be Monday, May 27, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 4-9pm.
The funeral service will be at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 1pm. Rev. Ervin Haley will be officiating.
The burial will be at New Bay Port Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Courtney Manor Nursing Home, 1167 E. Hopson St., Bad Axe, MI 48413.
