Marion Dorothy Parent

Marion D. Parent, age 92, of Caseville, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Marion was born Jan. 10, 1916 in Sandbeach Township to the late Darling George and Frances (Nicklas) Beadle. She married George W. Parent on May 26, 1937 in Columbus, Kansas. George preceded her in death on July 29, 1973.

Having grown up in Caseville, Marion moved to the Detroit area working as a registered nurse. She retired from Doctor’s Hospital Detroit on July 7, 1978 and moved back to Caseville that same year. She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church and the St. Rock Altar Society, the Caseville American Legion Auxiliary, Pigeon VFW Auxiliary and the Caseville Retirement Club. She was a devoted caretaker of her large family.

She is survived by her siblings Harold (Betty) Beadle of Georgia, Leona (Fred) Langley of Caseville, Albertus Beadle of Caseville; Francis (Thelma) Beadle of Caseville, Jessie Otto of Pigeon and Herbert (Jean) Beadle of Westland.

She was preceded in death by her brothers William, George and Thomas Beadle and sisters Geraldine Parent and Josephine Anderson.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 25, 2008 at St. Roch Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Yaroch presiding. Burial will be at St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the mass at church.
