Marion Agnes Yax

Marion A. Yax, 83, of Kinde, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 in Millington at her son’s house under hospice care.

Marion was born August 29, 1939 in Detroit to the late David and Marion (Clos) Gosselin.  She married Gerald Yax May 12, 1962 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Detroit; he preceded her in death November 25, 2021.  After marrying she raised her family in Flint until moving to Kinde in 1993.

Marion retired as bookkeeper in 1993 after 17 years with Ed Cumings Inc in Flint.  She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Parish/St. Felix Catholic Church.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, trips to the casino and playing BINGO.

Marion is survived by her children Robert of Bridgeport, Jeannette VanDusen of Clio, William (Carla) of Millington, Joseph (Michelle) of Clio and Jay (Kristen) of Clio; grandchildren Patrick and Jordan VanDusen, Madelyn, Emily, Evan, Abby, Andrew Yax, and Douglas Delecki; great-grandchild Brady Delecki; sister Rita (Sam) Tibbits of Kinde.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Louise McIlhargie, Vernetta King, David Gosselin and Joseph Gosselin.

A funeral mass will be 11:00am Tuesday, May 23, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog, with Fr. George Amos officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 to 8pm Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
