Marjorie Mae Dunckel, age 101, from Sebewaing, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on August 4, 2025.
Marjorie was born on July 22, 1924 to Atlee and Mildred (Johnston) Stout in Lansing, MI.
She married Oland Dunckel on September 4, 1946 in Lansing. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Marjorie touched all who met her with her wonderful smile, sense of humor and her way of making everyone feel welcome. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry and songs. She had a strong faith which she showed by example. She loved spending time with her family and it was a gift that she got to enjoy great great grandchildren.
Marjorie will be greatly missed by her children: Cheryl (Greg) Fuerst, Jim Dunckel, Jane (Brent) Schweitzer, Dennis Dunckel, Shauna Dunckel and Lonna Dunckel; grandchildren: Dean (Beth) Fuerst, Craig (Tracy) Fuerst, Troy (Kristin) Fuerst, Melissa (Joe) Pratt, Kristi (Jon) Suber, Misti (Gene) Dombrowski, Brandi (Kevin) Streeter, KC (Kristi) Gaeth, Joey (April) Schweitzer and Logan Dunckel; 29 great grandchildren' 6 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters: Margaret Gee and Murial Kenney; brothers: Arnold and Tommy Stout; grandson, Matthew Gaeth; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Dunckel.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Brian's House and Vicky with A Seasons Change Hospice for your wonderful care given to Marjorie and the support given to the family.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc. in Sebewaing from 11am-1pm with the service at 1pm. Officiating the service will be Misty Cramer. Burial will be at Rowley Cemetery following the service.
Memorial donations may be given to Bluewater Youth for Christ, Brian's House or the charity of your choice.
