Marjorie Finkbeiner, age 80, of Sebewaing, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Vadavilla AFC Home in Unionville.
Marjorie was born May 17, 1935, in Cass City, to the late Bruce F. Holcomb and Kathleen (Chappell) Holcomb. On November 28, 1959, she married Ronald C. Finkbeiner at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He preceded her in death in 2008. She retired in 1999 as the Vice President of Acme Roll Forming Co. after 37 years. She was the treasurer for many years up to the present at Immanuel Lutheran Church, was a member of the Mary Martha Guild, past member of the adult choir and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the newsletter committee and volunteered to help with funeral luncheons.
Marjorie is survived by her son, William M. Finkbeiner of Lansing; her brother, Robert B. Holcomb of Caro (and his special friend Martia Anderson); grandchildren: Billie Lee Bradley, Michael L. Finkbeiner, Alicia N. Finkbeiner and William M. Finkbeiner, Jr.; 6 great grandchildren; and God-daughter, Carol Maust.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Richard V. Holcomb; three very special sisters-in-law: Pauline Holcomb, Roberta Holcomb and Nina Finkbeiner; and one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.
The funeral service will be Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 1pm until the time of service at 2pm.
Burial will take place privately at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church (general fund or debt retirement fund).
