Marjorie Ruth Gnagey, 87, of Pigeon, passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2021 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Marge was born January 24, 1934 in Carsonville to the late Norman and Edith (Thomas) Burger. She married Leroy Gnagey on August 22, 1951 at Pigeon River Mennonite Church; he preceded her in death September 26, 2009.

Marge was a member of Pigeon River Mennonite Church. She volunteered as a Meals-on-Wheels driver and at the Scheurer Hospital Gift Shop. She loved cooking and baking for her family and spoiling her family. She always enjoyed her dogs and will be missed by her Pomeranian Marlee.

She is survived by her daughters Carolyn (Scott) Harder of Pigeon and Marcia (Chris) Schuette of Pigeon and son Alvin (Terese) Gnagey of Bay Port; grandchildren Tonie (Bill) Harcourt, Jason (Sara) Gnagey, Jeremy (Amy) Gnagey, Brant (Carla) Gnagey, and Christopher (Karly) Harder; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Larry and brother Melvin “Blackie” Burger.

Private family funeral services will be at the Champagne Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Pigeon River Mennonite Cemetery.
