Marjorie Ann Huizar of Akron, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4th, 2025 at Bay View Gardens Assisted Living in Sebewaing. Marjorie was born November 23, 1938 in Caro, Michigan to the late Melvin Turner and Catherene (Schlicht) Churchill. On May 10th, 1957, she married Vincent (Ray) Huizar in Angola, Indiana. They were married for sixty-five years until Ray's passing in 2016.

For many years, Marjorie could be found in Dr. Swartz's office in Unionville, where she served as the front-office receptionist, insurance biller, and later as a LPN. Marjorie had many creative talents that were expressed in her paintings which included her Christmas bulbs that she gifted to her family every Christmas.

Marjorie will be remembered for her love of golf that she enjoyed with her friends while residing in Ocala, Florida. She was an avid bowler throughout the years at Akron Country Lanes and enjoyed a casual bingo game. Marjorie loved a trip to the casino and fishing with her family at the cabin in Luzerne.

Marjorie is survived by her children; Lee Ann (Reicke) Ryers, Tammy Sheridan, Bryan (Laura) Huizar, Cindy Wood, Roxanne (Edward Westerby) Huizar and David (Roberta) Crosby; ten grandchildren, Richelle Ryers, Lucas (Heather) Sheridan, Justin (Vanessa) Wood, Levi (Denise) Crosby, Annie (Justin) Jacobs, Matthew Wood, Renae (Cory) Maguire, Christina Nicolai, Sheena (Thomas) Stephens, and Ashley (Jeremy) Everson; and twenty-eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Ray, Marjorie was preceded in death by her siblings MaryEllen Holder and Richard Turner; grandson, Cody Sheridan; and great-grandson, Mason Everson.

In accordance to Marjorie's wishes cremation is to take place. There will be a Celebration of Life held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Brentwood in Caro, Michigan. The family would like to express thanks to the staff of Bay View Gardens, the special care given by Heartland Hospice Care and nursing staff at Aspire Rural Healthcare in Cass City.
