Marjorie Eileen Seley

Marjorie E. Seley, age 87, of Elkton, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Marjorie was born in Chandler Township on May 28, 1920 to the late Alex and Laura (McDonald) Bruce. She was a longtime resident of Grant Township. Along with her husband Willard Seley, she raised her family on the farm several miles south of Elkton. She enjoyed dancing, reading and playing cards. She was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband Willard “Bill;” son John (Doris) of Elkton, daughters Susanne (Sal) Kanaski of Filion, Janet (Frank) Ellicot of Mayville, and Carol (Raymond) Caverly of Gagetown; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Bruce, sisters Ann Lincoln, Kathleen Itchue, Genevieve Trien and Angela Walsh and grandson Barry Davidson.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe with Fr. Jim Carlson presiding. Burial will be in Colfax Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton and from 10:00 AM Thursday at church. There will be a scripture service at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church.
