Mark H. "Gander" Anderson, age 57, formerly of McFarland, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2023 at his home. Mark was born August 20, 1965, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of the late Harry and Anita (Osterndorff) Anderson. He graduated from McFarland High School, went on to attend UW-Stout and later received his associate degree from Delta College. Mark grew up on Lake Waubesa in McFarland and was known as the neighborhood "boat guy." He had many boat parties and loved the water. Mark moved to Michigan in 1988 and worked as a Press Operator at Nexteer. Throughout life he was an avid softball player, playing on teams at McFarland Park from an early age, all the way to Saginaw up until 2018. Mark also loved to play pool, whether itis was 8-ball or 9-ball or on a league, he was game. Anything sports was Mark's hobby, he loved competition and would even watch "big-toe bean flicking". Although he could be competitive, he was still a very gracious loser to all the "Dirty Rats" in Mario Kart. Mark was a lifelong fan of anything Bucks, Badgers, Brewers, and especially the Packers - he bled "Green & Gold." On September 21, 1991, Mark married the former Rosemary Smith. Although they are now separated, their marriage was blessed with four wonderful children who were the lights of his life. Mark would help out in any school or community activity, drive the church van, teach youth group, coach little league, and was lovingly known as "Monkey Mark" to the kids. He loved to be involved and even had a clothing drive with the American Heritage Girls for Hurricane Katrina. Mark's loving, caring, and compassionate soul will be missed by all who knew him. Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Rosemary; children, Victoria (Andrew Wood) Anderson, Benjamin (Jodi) Anderson, Zachary Anderson, and Matthew Anderson; granddaughter, Elliana, with another granddaughter on the way; sister, Betty Jacobson of Wisconsin; special sisters-in-law, Saundra (Mike) Buchinger and Julie Smith; many nieces and nephews in both Michigan and Wisconsin. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Rice Anderson, Gary Anderson, and Victor Anderson.
