Mark Rodney Guster

Mark R. Guster, 69, of Caseville, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Scheurer Health in Pigeon.

Mark was born July 10, 1954 in Pigeon to the late John Peter and Jean (O’Connor) Guster.  He graduated from Caseville High School in 1972.  He married Paula Kildow December 9, 1977 in Bad Axe.

Mark worked 25 years at Michigan Oven in Caseville.  Mark loved living and playing on Saginaw Bay.  He could be found fishing, boating, racing canoes and catamarans.  He handcrafted ice fishing lures which were used by countless other fishermen.

Mark is survived by his wife Paula; children James (Angela) of Caseville, David Ryan (Mellissa) of Elkton, Janelle (Kory) Wiederhold of Pigeon and Taylor (Robert) of Reese; grandchildren Jonathon, Nathan, Makayla, Michelle, Ethan, Clarese, Kylee, Maci, and Robert; sister Linda (Raoul) Rhoades of Bad Axe; brother-in-law James Langley of Caseville; and beloved beagle Molly.  He was preceded in death by his sister Julie Langley.

A memorial service will be at 1:00pm Saturday, March 2nd at the Caseville Rod and Gun Club, 7936 Dunn Road, Caseville.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
