Mark Stephen Panknin, age 62, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Monday, April 26, 2010. Mark was born September 8, 1947 in Saginaw, the son of Donald E. & Thelma (Roggenbuck) Panknin. Following graduation from Saginaw High School in 1965, he was employed for several years with the State Highway Department in Saginaw. Mark was united in marriage with the former DonnaJean Soltis on November 16, 1968 in Saginaw. In 1971 they moved to Caro where Mark worked for various construction companies before moving to the Kingston area and starting his own construction company in 1985. He will be remembered as a hard worker, and enjoyed planting trees and making jewelry. Surviving are his loving wife of over forty-one years, DonnaJean Panknin of Kingston; his mother, Thelma Panknin of Saginaw; two brothers, three sisters and their spouses, Michael & Diane Panknin of Bay City, David Panknin of Kentucky, Elizabeth & James Parrott of Nashville, Michigan, Cheryl & Larry Tomczak of Hamilton, Ohio, Linda & Nicholas Santino of Birch Run and many nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Donald Panknin.
