Mark Parrish of Fairgrove, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Mark was born November 17, 1956 in Pigeon, the son of the late Clifford & Clara (Souva) Parrish. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1974 and began work shortly after at Harmony Hill Bowling Alley in Caro. More recently, Mark served as manager at Tony's Restaurant in Reese and T.Dub's Pizzeria & Pub in Frankenmuth. He eloped all the way to Bay City on April 25, 1988 with his beloved Carole Will, and the couple has celebrated thirty-four years together. Mark was a life member of the Caro Moose Family Center, earning his Legion Degree in 1988, Fellowship Degree in 1990, and the highest honor conferred by the organization, the Pilgrim Degree in 2014. He was also a twelve-time Lodge Governor and was instrumental in the Moose softball tournaments that continue today over forty years later. Mark was an accomplished bowler, softball player, and poker player. He was also foul mouthed at times, actually, most times. He referred to himself as God on occasion, something he almost certainly had to explain when he arrived at the Pearly Gates. He aspired to be the Marlboro Man and always had a smart response ready for someone that crossed his path. He arrived at his heavenly home following a fun and adventurous life, with "Yippee ki-yay" on his lips. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carole Parrish of Fairgrove; four children and their spouses, Travis & Tiffany Parrish, Tiffany & Donald Gerds, David & Michelle Frick, Jason Cherniawski, all of Caro; eight grandchildren who lovingly referred to Mark as "Papa," Steven (Christina), Kelsey (Gabe), Sam, Landon, Leyton, Christian, Ashton, and Kingsley; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Jessica, and Casey; five siblings and their spouses, Clifford & Mary Ann Parrish of Fairgrove, Gary & Pat Parrish of Fairgrove, Larry Parrish of Caro, Terry Parrish of Caro, Jayne Palmerton (Mark Sanback) of Akron; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Chuck Dailey, Linda Will, Connie & Ed Fi branz, Ron & Nancy Will, Duane & Brenda Will, Dale Will; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by three siblings, Judy Dailey, and infants Robert and Janet Parrish; brother-in-law, Jim Will; sister-in-law, Sherry Will; and father- and mother-in-law, Alfred & Ann Will. In keeping with Mark's wishes, cremation has taken place.
