Mark Allen Pifer

Mark Allen Pifer of Caro, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Mark was born January 23, 1961 in Flint, the son of the late Raymond & Ann (Krywy) Pifer. He was united in marriage with the former Sallie Beth Parker on December 6, 2003 in Caro. Mark was a very silent man, taking a "vow of silence" for most of his life. He was a working supervisor at M.K. Chambers for more than twenty-five years, where he wore many hats. He appreciated his co-workers, loved the challenges of his job, especially working on the swiss machine, his specialty. Mark loved to tinker and could fix anything. He enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing, all genres of music, photography, and eating peanuts and chocolate. Mark loved animals, and at one time cared for a family of raccoons found in an oil barrel behind M.K. He was very proud of his Ukranian ancestry. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Beth Pifer of Caro; three children, Cody Leo Ruthko, Ian Randall Pifer and Talena Jane Pifer, all of Caro; siblings and their spouses, Debra & Gary Wilkins of Clio, Denise & Mark Bowles of Grand Blanc, and Randy Pifer of Holland; and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mark's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Jamey Willett-Parker officiating.
