Martha A. Feger

Martha A. Feger age 81 of Lake Twp. near Oak Beach died Wednesday morning, May 19, at her home.
She was born July 8,1922 in Detroit to the late Glen and Minnie (Whorley) Caufman. On October 21, 1939, she was united in marriage to Joseph K Feger at her parent’s home in Detroit. They lived in Detroit and raised most of their family there. In 1969, when their youngest, David was nine they moved north to Oak Beach on the shores of Saginaw Bay. Together they operated Feger’s Sunset Resort for the past 35 years.
She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville and Caseville Eagle Auxiliary.
Her passion was music and she loved to play the piano.
Surviving are her husband of almost 65 years, Joseph; nine children and their spouses, Joseph and Judy Feger of Sterling Hts., Janet and Dave Ropes of Utica, Carol and Russ Astrino of Shelby Twp., Eileen and Jeno Kasa of Leonard, Rosemary and Andrew Brinkman of St. Clair Shores, Patricia and Tom Zebula of Sterling Hts., Michael and Christine Feger of Sterling Hts., Bruce and Sabrina Feger of Beulah and David and Tina Feger of Oak Beach; 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two grandsons, Ben and Michael Astrino and three sisters, Annabelle Marsh, Dorothy Ross and Josephine Wilson.
A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Yaroch, pastor will officiate with burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
Memorials may be given to the Capuchin Monastery, Fr. Solanus Casey.
