Martin William Hessell

Martin William Hessell, age 46, of Ubly, died at home March 14, 2007 of apparently natural but unknown causes.

Martin was born September 1, 1960 to William and Margaret (Prindle) Hessell in Detroit. He grew up in Warren and after attending school served in the US Army. In February of 1991 he married Sherry Ponn and the next year he and his family moved to Huron County. Sherry died March 15, 2007. Martin had been employed at US Manufacturing in Bad Axe.


Martin is survived by his children Joseph Nietubicz, Angela Hessell and Martin Hessell II, all of Ubly; parents William and Margaret Hessell of Caseville; aunts and uncles Donald (Judy) Hessell of Hazel Park, Karen (Greg) Kelly of Warren, Frank (Carol) Prindle, John (Joan) Prindle, Marylyn Prindle all of Grand Rapids, and William (Marianne) Prindle of Garden Penisula.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie Nietubicz.

A double funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. Ken Yaroch presiding. Military honors will be provided by the Caseville American Legion. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1-8 PM Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and from 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to the family.
