Martin J. Kelly age 82, of Caseville died Sunday morning, June 29, at Covenant Harrison in Saginaw.
He was born November 15, 1920 to the late Thomas and Emma (Klein) Kelly in Cleveland, OH and moved to Bay Port in his youth.
On June 15, 1941, he was united in marriage to Virginia Weeks in Bay Port. She preceded him in death March 8, 1962.
Mart was a commercial fisherman at the Bay Port Fish Company until June of 1944, when he was inducted into the US Army and served in Italy during WW II. When he returned home in 1946, he worked several places before taking a position with Consumers Power in Saginaw. On May 11, 1963, he married Florence (Portice) DeLoach in Saginaw, where they made their home until he retired in 1979 after 22 years of service.
He was a member of the Bay Port United Methodist Church, the Caseville Eagles, Sebewaing VFW Post and the Caseville Retirement Club. His big passion in life remained fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Florence; two children, Pat (Bob) Shabluk of Saginaw and Dave (Julie) Kelly of Bay City; nine grandchildren and spouses, Mike & Lisa, Steve & Amy, Dave & Billie Jo, Jennifer & Matt, Sean, Emily, Abigail, Catherine, and David; five great grandchildren and his brother, Frank (Pauline) Kelly of Bay Port. Preceding him in death were four brothers, Fred and Charles Mann, James and Melvin Kelly an his sister, Anna Hoermann.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Caseville with burial and military honors by the Sebewaing VFW at the Caseville Twp. Cemetery.

Bay Port United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
