Martin H. Leipprandt, age 53, of Caseville, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at his home while under hospice care.
Marty was born November 30, 1955 in Pigeon to John and Mary (Mitin) Leipprandt. He grew up outside Pigeon (Hayes) and graduated from Lakers in 1974. He married Clarissa Blackburn on June 18, 1988 at the Caseville United Methodist Church.
He had been employed at S & I in Elkton for 15 years as a welder. He was a member of the Caseville Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, watching sports, cooking and smoking on the grill, snowmobiling with the Snowgoers, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Marty is survived by his wife Clarissa “Chris,” children Thomas and Don Bixman, of Caseville, Chris (Wendi) Bixman of Sebewaing, Amy (Derrick Hines) Leipprandt of Caseville, Steve Martin of Caseville, and JD (Lydia) Leipprandt of Pigeon; grandchildren Jason, Shania, Keegan, Alexus, Gage, Will, Dustin and Jerad; parents John and Mary Leipprandt of Pigeon; sisters Esther (Dennis) Wood of Oregon, Karen Wood of Oregon, and Patty (Brian) Murphy of Southgate; and nieces and nephew Shantel, Justice and Jade, to whom he was their caregiver.
He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 26th at the Caseville United Methodist Church with Rev. Philip Voss officiating. Burial was in Caseville Township Cemetery.
Visitation was 2-8:00PM Monday, May 25, Memorial Day, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
