Martin E. Rosenthal age 83 of Elkton died Monday evening, October 28, at his home while under hospice care.
He was born April 24, 1930 in Verona Twp. at the home of his parents the late August and Frances (Rothe) Rosenthal. Martin was raised on a farm and farmed all his life.

On September 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to Jane C. Guisbert at Hayes Methodist Church. They moved to a farm southeast of Elkton where they raised their family.
Mart also worked for the Cooperative Elevator Company at the fertilizer branch in Bad Axe for over twelve years and has been a member of the Caseville Eagles since 1992.

Surviving are his wife, Jane; four children, Cheri (Lee) Toups of Flint, Brian (Dawn) Rosenthal of Elkton, Marcy (Jeff) Smith of Fond du Lac, WI and Scott Rosenthal of Bad Axe; nine grandchildren, Josh (Ann) Rosenthal, Adam Rosenthal, Marlena Rosenthal, Monique (Dave) Laverty, Tiffany (Dennis) Soltys, Kailey and Bekka Smith, Dominic and Colton Rosenthal; three great grandchildren, Abigial, Jackson and Caides; two sisters, Sophie Van Hevel of Warren and Caroline Schuette of Pigeon; sisters-in-law, Shirley Bell of St. Clair Shores, Mary Lou (Bob) Fluegge of Pigeon, Florence Rosenthal of Detroit and Millie Rosenthal of Pigeon.

Preceding him in death were siblings, Martha Thayer, Elsie Kerr, Alvina, Joe, Art and Walter Rosenthal.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton with visitation after 9:30 AM. Rev. Phillip Tousley, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Bad Axe interment in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
